March Mission
of the Month
Luther Memorial School has a long history of serving the community and continues to follow God’s call to serve His children and families in the city of Cleveland and enjoys increased enrollment, programs, and ministry offerings each year.
The vision of Luther Memorial School is to see students and families prosper together, growing in faith and opportunity.
The Mission is to provide a quality, Christ-centered education in a structured environment that nurtures and challenges students to achieve their God-given potential in partnership with home and church. LMS is a place where students are known, taught, and loved.

Luther Memorial School makes a difference not only in the lives of each and every student, but serves as a support system for the whole family. We believe that home and school working together is the best way to impact the lives of our students and to grow God’s kingdom. In a world where people are becoming more and more isolated and disenfranchised, Luther Memorial School stands out in creating a community where we meet more than just the education needs of our students.
You may wonder why a school is in need of our support.
Here is what I learned about Luther Memorial School:
“At Luther Memorial School, we are committed to providing a Christ-centered, high quality education to families who otherwise would not have access to it. Through EdChoice and the Cleveland Scholarship programs, we receive $6,160 per student from the State of Ohio. However, the true cost to educate a student at LMS is approximately $8,300 per year.
Our families are working incredibly hard and are often living well below the poverty line. Charging tuition beyond the state scholarship amount would place an impossible burden on them. That is why donations are not extra for us, they are essential. Every gift directly closes the gap and ensures that our students continue to be known, loved, challenged, and prepared for a life of faith, accountability, and respect.”
You can donate in person at COH using the offering envelope and designated for March Mission of the Month (designate them as recipient on your check memo) OR donate online by clicking the button below and choosing Mission of the Month and typing Luther Memorial in the envelope # memo line.
