Church Picnic 2026

Community of Hope’s annual church picnic is one of our favorite times to get together to worship God and enjoy food and fellowship as a whole church body. We also love to welcome friends, neighbors and family to join us and experience a sweet day with our community.

What:

Join us for one combined, outdoor worship service under the tents at 10:30 AM followed by our church picnic with lots of food, quality conversation, and an inflatable slide for the kids!

When:

This year’s picnic will take place on Sunday, September 6! The outdoor worship service will be a 10:30 AM and the picnic will directly follow.

Where:

In Community of Hope’s side parking lot. We will have tents set-up. Community of Hope is located at 1435 West Royalton Road, Broadview Heights, OH 44147.

What should I bring? How can I sign up to volunteer at the picnic?

We happily provide hotdogs, burgers, and drinks. We ask that families bring: a side dish AND a dessert to share, and that individuals or couples bring: a side dish OR a dessert to share. If you are new to COH or cannot bring anything, just come and enjoy! We always seem to have plenty of food!

Many hands make light work! We need people for food preparations and we need people to clean up afterwards as well. The Church Picnic Mealtrain for volunteers will be added here soon!

We ask that attendees separate their desserts into individually wrapped portions. This has proven to be very helpful in reducing bees and making leftovers easier to manage! No one wants to lift tinfoil to find bees!

*Please note: we will be asking families to take their leftover dishes home with them after the picnic! We do not have the storage space!
