Pickleball & Jesus (PB&J)
First Sunday of the Month, 4 - 6 PM
Who: Anyone from COH or Royal Redeemer and their guests. You don’t need to be a good pickleball player, just one who is willing to learn and have fun at it.
What: This is designed to be a fun event that will include pickleball, instruction, and a short devotional at halftime. If you are new to the game, one court will be for you to learn the basics of the game and to begin to play. If you are pretty new to the game but know how to play, you will be at court 2. If you are an intermediate player, you will be at court 3. If you are rated at 3.5 or above, which means that you know the rules and can make all the basic shots, you will be at court 4. This will be adjusted by the leader and the number and types of players.
When: We will meet the first Sunday of the month, 4-6 pm. Upcoming dates include: April 6, May 4, & June 8.
Where: Center Court, 1 Eagle Valley Ct., Broadview Heights, Ohio 44147
Why: We are all busy and it’s very difficult to add anything more to our plates. But many people are looking for a fun, social activity. Throw in a short, spiritual segment and several needs are meet in a short period of time!!
How Much: The cost will be $5 to defray the cost of the rental of the courts. We will probably cut off the number of players at around 32, so register early. Guests are welcome to watch for free. If you would like, please bring a light refreshment to share with others.
Other Guidelines: We will be using the pickleball rules of the APP. On line calls, please be gracious. If you could not see any court between the line and the ball, the ball is good. If you are not certain, the ball is good. This is a family event so inappropriate language and actions will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave. Play will be timed. At the buzzer, you will be asked to leave the court with new players and teams going on the court. At half-time there will be a short devotional time where we will hear the “God Story” of one of the players.
